Here is a statement that we can all relate to: my mental health suffered a lot in the last year. It is more important than ever to prioritise our mental wellbeing and self-care. Mental illness can be extremely isolating; often it can feel like you’re the only person who understands how you are feeling. However, by listening others share their stories and experiences of mental health struggles, you might feel validated and far less alone.  

This is where podcasts could be an incredibly useful tool for all of us. They are becoming increasingly more popular, with over two million in total at the start of 2021 – and that number that continues to grow. The range of health podcasts are huge, covering an array of issues and topics such as depression, anxiety, and grief. 

Podcasts are also a way of learning more about these issues and common interventions, with many discussing self-care and practical strategies you could adopt as part of your care of your wellbeing.
