‘Widespread, rapid and intensifying.’ That’s how the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (or the IPCC) describes climate change right now.
Flooding. Droughts. Forest fires. Melting ice caps. Rising sea levels. It’s all connected and, to put it bluntly, it’s a big deal.
So it’s no surprise then that there are a lot of charities working very, very hard on trying to quite literally save the world.
Here we’ve put together a sort of ‘how can I help stop climate change’ starter pack so you can grab your cape and join the fight too.

In 2020, the CO2 in the atmosphere was the highest it's been for 4 million years. Back then the planet was 2-4C hotter and the sea was 10-25m higher.
On average, ocean levels have risen eight inches over the past century. Since 2006, it’s been increasing at double the rate.
